Principle of bag filters: Bag filters are used to separate solid particles from liquid so as to increase purity of products and purify gases. The bag filtering system is a new type filtering system. In the filter, the metal screen supports the filter bag. Liquids enter the filter from the inlet and exits from the outlet after being filtered by the filter bag. Therefore, impurities are left behind in the filter bag and the filter can be used after the filter bag is replaced.

Filtering Performance
It is inevitable that bag filters partially replace strainer core filters. Bag filters feature high processing capacity, compactness and high volume. The effective filtering area of a #2 filtering bag are equal to that of twenty 10" strainer core filters. No matter in aspect of cost or efficiency, bag filters are better than strainer core filters.
Based on the working principles and structure of bag filters, filtering bags are easily replaced and filters are wash-free, thus efficient and time-effective.
Bag filters feature low leakage possibility and thus effectively ensure the filtering quality. While strainer core filters have high leakage possibility. The leakage possibility usually doubles the number of strainer cores.
Bag filters can bear higher operating pressure with low pressure loss, low operation cost and obvious energy-saving effects.
The precision of bag filters is increased gradually and is up to 0.5 μm at present and thus can replace strainer core filters to a large extent.
